As a part of CBSE expression series of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrating 75 years of India’s independence an interactive session was conducted on the 13th of January 2022 at Edify School, Kanakapura Road for the students of Grade 4& Grade 5.
The resource person of the program was Mr. Shailendra Mohan Mathur, grandfather of Samhita Mathur – a student of gr4b .
Mr. Mathur rendered rare insight into the topic – ‘Importance of ‘Freedom’ of India, in view of the grandparents. ??
Mr Mathur shared a brief overview on India’s struggle for independence from the British Raj and recollecting stories of courage and valour – a ode to the sacrifices made by our unsung heroes; our freedom fighters .???
The added bonus of the session was a quiz conducted by Mr Mathur. He asked questions based on the freedom fighters. Students’ participation was overwhelming. ?
He also focused on the salient challenges and achievements of India post-independence.
He highlighted that in technology, research institutes, pharmacy, agriculture and in I.T . industry, India is way ahead and self-sufficient. ?️??
The session was full of learning. The students learned and enjoyed.
