Basanth Panchami and National Science Day
Vasant Panchami also spelled Basant Panchami, is a festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of spring. The festival is celebrated by people in various ways depending upon the region in the life in the Indian subcontinent.
National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. For his discovery, Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
Our students from grade 4 presented a special assembly on Basanth Panchami and National Science Day. The assembly started with school prayer followed by school song. Students came up with amazing speech on the importance of this day in English, Kannada and Hindi
The students also celebrated the National Science day by presenting a talk show that emphasised on the importance of science in our daily life and also a dance performance based on the theme ‘ technology’.
The assembly culminated with Ms Kala Hiremath our Academic Administrator –Primary applauding the students and also giving some resourceful inputs to the students.
