Regarding the directive from CBSE and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to observe Cyber Jagrookta Diwas on the first Wednesday of every month at all educational institutions.
Two cyber security experts, Mr. Vasanth Raj and Mrs. Karishma Dinasi from Informatica, served as our resource people when Edify School Kanakapura Road in Bengaluru launched the aforementioned event on 7 th September 2022.
Our visitor, an ethical hacker himself, provided extensive information on cyberspace. We learned more about a variety of topics, including DDoS attacks, phishing scams, malware, data breaches, safe computing, privacy, how to create secure passwords, online fraud, mobile security, and many others.
They held an interactive presentation with descriptive slide display for students and teachers in grades 6 through 9. They were fascinated by buzzing queries from children and facilitators who were inquisitive and curious.
To sum up, Edify students and teachers have acquired technological skills to defend themselves against damaging attacks from the digital world.
Technology trust is a good thing, but control is a better one.
