WORLD POPULATION DAY
The United Nations Development Programme had marked 11th July in the calendar to be observed as World Population World Day in the year 1989 and its focus was to deal urgently on the importance of population issues.
Our students from grade 5 presented a special assembly on World Population Day .The assembly started with school prayer followed by school song. Students came up with amazing speech on ‘Population’ in English, Kannada and Hindi.
This was followed by a brilliant skit display by the students showing effects of overpopulation on the environment and natural resources. The students also pledged to join the campaign on controlling overpopulation and make enough space and a happy place to live on the earth.
The assembly culminated with Ms Kala Hiremath our Academic Administrator –Primary applauding the students and also giving some resourceful inputs to the students.
