Grade 4 coffee morning

The coffee morning was organized for the parents of the students of Grade 4 A, B, and C on Saturday 29/10/2022. Coffee morning is a unique way to present the inquiry cycle by students. Students display their knowledge and understanding of the content on a platform where parents and facilitators are the audiences. The event was a great opportunity for the parents to get an insight into the learning process of their children.

The presentation was based on the topic “Our System” by Grade 4A. The students highlighted the importance of the Indian Constitution, types of government, the power of the government, and the importance of gram panchayat.

The students also displayed their skills by integrating subjects like English, Math, Languages (Hindi and Kannada) and Computer with the Inquiry Module.

In English, the students integrated Nouns with the poem “Corruption” by Shraddha. In Maths, they displayed the bar graph on the election results of different states. In Hindi, they spoke about the Constitution of India and the Roles and Responsibilities of a citizen. In Kannada, the students spoke about the Constitution of India and Roles and Responsibilities of a Gram Panchayat. In Computer, the students integrated fundamental rights with functions related to computers through a skit.

The presentation was based on the topic “Our Identity” by Grade 4 B and C. The students highlighted the importance of health and hygiene, good and bad habits, communicable and non-communicable diseases, microbes causing different types of disease and first aid.

The students also displayed their skills by integrating subjects like English, Math, Languages (Hindi and Kannada), and Computer with the Inquiry Module.

In English, the students recited the poem “Hygiene” and “Health”. In Maths, they displayed a bar and pie chart on a balanced diet. In Hindi, they performed a skit on health and hygiene, and in Kannada, the students performed a dance on healthy habits and Kannada vowels. In Computer, the students spoke about the importance of Cyber Hygiene.

Overall, it was an enriching experience for all those who attended this session and their lovely feedback spoke ample about their fulfilling experience.

The coffee morning concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
