SPECIAL ASSEMBLY – BY GRADE 1
Theme: Grade l – Gandhi Jayanti, Dussera, International day of the Girl.
The children of Grade 1 presented the special assembly on 26th October 2018, celebrating Dussera, Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of the Girl.
The host Aryan Koshal of Gr 1 A started by welcoming everyone present for the assembly.
The programme started with presentation of facts Mahatma Gandhi – our Father of the Nation by the students.
This was followed by a talk on the relevance of Gandhiji’s values in today’s world which made us realize that his ideals are still very much relevant today. After this kannada song on Gandhiji was sung by the children.
On the occasion of Dussera children spoke on the importance of dussera followed by a dandiya dance to mark the celebration.After this Keerthana R and Shikha S spoke on the importance of International Day of the girl and when and why this day is celebrated.
This was followed by a speech in Hindi by Rithwik of Gr 1 A on the theme of the month – Inquirer which was incorporated with Taraash – Values ingrained within.
The programme ended with a final dance presentation to mark the festivities by the students of Gr 1 A and B.
The special assembly ended with the National Anthem
