Theme/Topic: Our Expression
As the extension learning of Inquiry Module -2 on the topic “ a puppet show was conducted by all the facilitator’s of IK’s. The jungle ambience was created and it was an immense view for the children as they felt that they are really visiting the jungle.
The session started by an audio skit “story – The Lost Monkey” children were excited to see various jungle animals and the ambience of the jungle. Through the story IK-1 children learnt about most of the animals and their habitats. How important it is to help each other’s when they are in need. Children learned about social skills how to greet when you meet others for example pleasing words (hello, thank you etc.….). Even the story thought the emotional values for example the bond between mother monkey and the baby monkey and their friends who helped the baby monkey to find his mother.
The Puppet story session ended with the finale song and a dance of the story characters “ ba ba ba banana “ which the children enjoyed the most.
