InterhouseDebate and Chess Competition
Interhouse Debate and Chess Competitions were hosted simultaneously in Edify campus in two different venues. Debate Competition was conducted inLawn Tennis Ground while Chess was conducted in Audio Visual Room.
The topics for the debate in category 1 and category 2 were ‘Learning of Local Languages – needed/not needed’ and ‘Citizenship Amendment Act – boon/bane’. Contestants displayed war with words – using precise language, content, vocabulary and inflection, apt gestures to defend or oppose the statement. All those present were captivated by the powerful performance of the debaters on stage and they had many good memories and learning to take back with them.
Chess is a game of intelligence requiring great deal of diligence, focus, time and skill. Our school conducted inter house water house time-controlled chess competition. All those who participated moved their pawn meticulously using their time with great proficiency, exhibited their skill in playing. All the players were able to secure first, second or third and contribute greatly in upgrading their respective house scores.
