Grade 6 of Edify School, Kanakapura Road, presented the themes of International Women’s Day and Holi in a Special Assembly, on 12th February 2022.
UN declared the theme of International Women’s day 2022, as “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, which aims to recognize women who are working to build a more sustainable future. It is celebrated every year on 8th March. This was beautifully brought out by the students through song, dance and highlighting the contribution of a few women for the betterment of the Indian society.
Holi, the Indian festival of colours, which unites all men and women belonging to different castes and creeds, was also projected by the students as a time when we spread happiness and good triumphs over evil. It is an important festival of the spring season. This year it’ll be celebrated on 18th March.
