Kargil Vijay Diwas

Special Assembly on “Kargil Vijay Divas’ was presented by the students of Gr. 1-7
on Tuesday ,26/07/2022 to commemorate the success of Operation Vijay in te
year 1999 and remembering those who sacrificed their lives for this country.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated by every Indian on 26th July every year. The day
is dedicated to the martyrs of the Kargil War 1999. Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the
victory of the Indian army in the Kargil War.
The assembly comprised of an anecdote stating the significance of the crucial
day .
The day started with the Guru Vandana, school prayer and song followed by
thought for the day and speech on the significance and importance of Kargil
Vijay Divas.
The students showed their tributes towards the Kargil warriors through their
powerful speech, song and dance. Grade 6 and 7 students showcased a
commendable role play on the Kargil warriors. The assembly was integrated with
language and music.
Each performance acknowledged the efforts and gallantry of our Armed Forces.
The celebration was graced by the resource persons Dr. B. Veer Raju, Deputy
Inspector General CRPF. He holds a PHD in RTI and Good Governance and Shri
Praveen Patil, Assistant Commandant, CRPF.
Dr. Veer Raju addressed the gathering with his motivational speech on the
sacrifices and bravery shown by the Kargil warriors. The Kargil war was initiated
by the Pakistani troops who infiltrated into the Kargil district in 1999. Kargil Vijay
Diwas is considered the day to remember the martyrdom of the hundreds of
brave Indian soldiers.
Our principal, Ms. Neelam Sharma showed her gratitude on behalf of Edify
School, Kanakapura Main Road to our special guests of honour by presenting a
thank you note and a sapling.

The assembly concluded with a Kargil Vijay divas song and National anthem
played on keyboard .
