A field trip was organised for the students of grade 5 on 19th September 2018. The students visited the tribal museums @ Janapada Loka to get an insight into the life and culture of various tribes across Karnataka as it was related to their IM 2 topic.They were enamoured to see the extraordinary artefacts, masks, jewellery, clothes, utensils, weapons and many more articles of daily use of the tribal people.

The field trip was truly a great opportunity for the in-depth learning of the concepts.

Coffee Morning was organised for the parents of grade 5 on 8th September 2018. The event was a great opportunity for the parent to get an insight into the learning process of their children through inquiry cycles that we run at Edify.The presentation was based on the topic ‘Brain’, a part of inquiry cycle 1 and included various fun activities like skit, quiz, games, songs and yoga. The parents were enamoured to see the in-depth knowledge of the concepts covered in the inquiry cycle.

To create and spread awareness on Swachhata mission, Edify celebrated a fortnight long awareness programSwachch Bharat, clean India has been the dream of our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Mr. Narendra Modi, our prime minister, is taking forward this dream of clean India. Along with many activities, competitions mandated by CBSE were held for the students at Edify to create awareness among children.

Swachhata Bharat Pakhwada –A commitment to keep India clean and green marked a beginning on 31st August 2018 with Swachhta Shapath, an oath, taken by students from grades 1 to 10 to remain committed towards cleanliness. The oath was taken in Hindi and English. The primary graders took the oath in the assembly foyer and the secondary graders in their respective classes with oath displayed on the smart boards. The oath taking ceremony was administered by the council members in both the wings. Teachers inspected sanitary facilities in every corner of the school. Heads of every department proposed plans to upkeep the cleanliness in the school premises. Housekeeping staff and gardeners contributed to the swachhata mission by extensive cleaning of toilets, class rooms, fans, windows, and bushes in the campus.

Patriotism or national pride is the ideology of love and devotion to a homeland, and a sense of alliance with other citizens who share the same values. This attachment can be a combination of many different features relating to one’s own homeland, including ethnic, cultural, political or historical aspects.

The students of IK’s had their Group dance competition (Theme – Patriotism) on 21st August 2018. Dance is a performing art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement. The little enthusiastic dancers moved the audience with their stunning performance. Parents of the tiny tod’s were also invited. All the students gave a truly mesmerizing performance, they beautifully showcased their patriotism through there dance moves.

All the children performed with lot of interest and enthusiasm. The entire event was eye catching.
