World Food Day and World United Nations Day
World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The United Nations officially came into existence on 24 October 1945. In 1948, the United Nations General Assembly declared 24 October, the anniversary of the Charter of the United Nations,
Our students from grade 2 presented a special assembly on World Food day and World United nations day .The assembly started with school prayer followed by school song. Students came up with amazing speech and song on the importance of this day in English, Kannada and Hindi
The students also celebrated nationalism in the form celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and celebrating the two major festivals of India- Dussehra and Diwali.
The assembly culminated with Ms Kala Hiremath our Academic Administrator –Primary applauding the students and also giving some resourceful inputs to the students.
