Virtual field trip
“The purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows” – Sydney J Harris.
Field trips are informal learning experiences that get students out into the world, exploring the world.
The students of Grade 3 – 10 were taken on a virtual field trip to Dudhwa National Park 🏞️🏞️ which is situated in Northern Uttar Pradesh, India 🇮🇳 on the 12th of November 2021.
The students saw various kinds of animals like the tigers🐯🐅, elephants🐘🐘, Sambar deer 🦌🦌, jackals, civets, jungle cats. They also learned about the various ecosystems in the park. The park has a rich bird life too and its home to many migratory birds like painted stroks, Sarus cranes, kingfishers, weaver birds 🦚🦩🦢.
Online technologies have removed such barriers from the learning activities and experiences have become an interesting way to engage children and explore new places.
